Kent creates history, transforming sound into vision as DJ/VJ aboard “Biggest Ever All Deaf Cruise”. Performing with his signature EJ Turntable, Justin Kent participated in the record breaking event aboard the world’s largest ship, the Freedom of the Seas. By spinning rhythmic visuals for ~4,000 hearing impaired guests, he helped the passengers feel the music, whether or not they could hear it.
Spinning for a deaf audience will “give me an unprecedented opportunity to focus on how the music looks, for people that experience vision and sound in a totally different way. This might be the biggest challenge a DJ could possibly face,” Justin wrote from Miami, where the ship set sail October 28th. Kent will be working as part of the Sencity team, accompanied by Sign Dancers, Deaf Dancers, Aroma Jockeys, as well as the onboard staff and a host of entertainers to create this once-in-a-lifetime event.
